Showcasing over 2,000 years of sculpture, architecture, drawings, paintings, prints and various other artwork, the Victoria and Albert Museum is a truly exceptional place. This made us all the more delighted when a contract for multiple new plastic display cases was secured between this illustrious association and DD Fabrications.
Having provided high quality custom display products for a number of national and international museums and cultural institutions throughout London, the UK and the rest of the world, our expert plastic designers and fabricators were familiar with the requirements of V&A's new-look architectural exhibition and what type of plastic display cases they would need.
We produced a large quantity of UV-bonded plastic display cases to house the impressive building models, moulds and other artefacts the museum is now presenting to the public.
Strong, highly protective, scratch resistant and just as transparent as glass, these 21 cases were accompanied by 20 Perspex plinths, all made in a similar 8mm material. The plastic display cases were designed and moulded to various specifications, with the largest products measuring in at 1450 x 1000 x 950mm.
