Display Developments have just completed the construction of a new display case for the Old Royal Naval College Visitor Centre. It now houses a scale model of Greenwich as it would have appeared in 1840. The case is a 5 sided acrylic cover manufactured in 10mm clear Perspex with mitred and cemented joints.
The permanent exhibition at the Old Royal Naval College Visitor Centre houses several historical artefacts. Sir Christopher Wren and Nicholas Hawksmoor’s design models of the buildings, presented to the Royal Hospital for Seamen’s royal patrons, are housed here, as well as archaeological finds from the old Tudor palace. You can also see naval uniforms and archive footage of the site from the days of the Royal Naval College.
