PETG Machine Guards
Our machine guards (examples above & left) are manufactured from impact resistant 8mm clear PETG ensuring maximum safety for the operator and at the same time giving excellent optical clarity. The machine guards pictured have folded sides, CNC machined holes and cut-outs with rebated and bonded top/bottom panels. We can manufacture PETG machine guards, Perspex machine guards & acrylic machine guards as one-offs or high volumes to a new specification or as a simple replacement for an existing machine guard. We understand the critical nature of machine guards and can normally accommodate quick turn-around on one-offs in order to minimise downtime on expensive machinery.

Optically Clear CCTV Camera CoverThis clear 190mm diameter hemisphere is produced in 2mm clear cast Perspex. The method of manufacture was specifically developed by Display Developments over 12 months to meet the clarity requirements of the most up to date digital camera technology. The injection moulded recycled ABS flange is UV bonded to the acrylic hemisphere to insure maximum strength and to avoid adhesive over-spill. |
Live Rail Safety CoverMaintenance engineers safety guard for working on live railway lines. Vacuum formed in two halves from 5mm flame retardant ABS. The two halves are solvent bonded together for maximum strength and incorporate three handles for ease of use. The material was manufacture in colour matched BS Safety Yellow for maximum visibility. Display Developments worked in partnership with the customer to develop this product. The engineering team had to focus on the specific requirement that the covers could be interlocked over the rail with no gaps to insulate from electrical arcing risks. |

Dust Covers for Specialist Medical EquipmentThese dust covers are used internally on medical equipment for the laser analysis of the retina. The left and right hand pair are vacuum formed in 3mm black flame retardant ABS with a pinseal pattern. The complex high tolerance trimming was carried out on 5 axis CNC routers. The right hand cover incorporates a small clear PVC window to enable maintenance checks on the lasers operation during service. |
Commercial Microwave Oven Air DuctThis duct is manufactured in 2mm clear polycarbonate in order to withstand the high temperature operating requirements inside a commercial microwave oven. Display Developments also sourced and fitted the galvanize flange plate using pop rivets. |

8mm Clear Perspex SpeakerPart of a set including bass ‘globe’ speakers, this item is formed from one piece of material. We were able to produce this item with no tooling contact to the acrylic. This meant we maintained superb optical clarity as well as the flowing curves required by the design. |

Pressure formed component for TV autocue systemManufactured from ABS, we are able to adapt an existing machine to increase forming pressure. This meant we could create a high definition product akin to injection moulding without the high tooling expense. |
