 Large Format Moulding
The recently completed acquisition of Motec Moulding's assets in August 2005 has enabled Display Developments to expand significantly into the Automotive marketplace.
In addition to products such as 4x4 Moulded Wheel Covers and all major Driving School Roofhats, we now produce numerous variations of plastic boot, shield and load liners for the Automotive industry.
Major clients such as Land Rover, Toyota, Jaguar, Volvo, Mazda, Subaru, Isuzu, Daihatsu, Vauxhall and Mitsubishi have all asked Display Developments to continue manufacturing their boot and load liners and work in future partnership, developing and manufacturing ancillary products.
Following the purchase of James Lierman (Vacuum forming Ltd) in 1999, we have alwa ys been known for our large format vacuum forming with machines capable of 2.4 x 1.8m mouldings. This has now been further complimented by the addition of new machines allowing us to form up to 3.1 x 1.63m.
Large format moulding is a versatile and effective technique allowing the production of both complex engineering components such as those already described, as well as visually stunning POS Displays and other unique products.
 New Materials For Load Liners
As part of our ongoing commitment to position DIsplay Developments at the forefront of new technology. we are currently developing mouldings that use the latest advancements in material co-extrusions.
With specially blended products, we are able to produce liners that have greater flexibility, wear and tear as well as having natural non-slip characteristics.
Chrome Plating Mouldings
Where the resultant visual effect needs to appear Chromed, but not have the expense, then electroplating Special Grade ABS can be an attractive alternative. Display Developments offers this service as part of the package, quality controlling each stage to ensure successful completion. This process is ideal for anything from car interior trimmings and badges to large exterior signage. |
